Thought I would follow up with the post, Get Ready to Charge! with the ads I have found relative to Golf.
Starting with the retail stores:
Roger Dunn Golf Shop has many great golf iron sets for only $399.99 including Ping G5 (2 generations old now) Taylor Made r7, and Callaway X-18r. Very nice sets and they range from 7 to 8 piece sets. Golf balls are $5 off a dozen, gloves $4 off, Ashwoth shirts for $14.99, Tour XT golf bag for $29.99 and so on. Some pretty cool bargains. I tried to find a link online but no such luck. Sport Chalet is not doing much but what they do have is pretty strong. 30% off golf bags and 30% off all golf carts and travel bags. Here is a link to their ads.
Golfsmith has a gift guide but not much more and I did not see any ads related to them this year.
Plaza Golf is having a gift card giveaway. For every $100 increment you get a 10% gift card up to $500 at which time you get $100, pretty nice and very easy to spend $500 in that place.
Golfballs.com is having free shipping and a lot of items on sale. Nice since it is all online and there are no crowds to face.
Well that’s all I found. Hope something there is of interest for you. For me, I think the $5 a dozen at Roger Dunn is a very nice deal and the gift cards at Plaza is also pretty good. I am seeing a very common trend this year with gift cards. I think its pretty smart as it assures return business and possibly no payout if the cardholder looses it. Not so great for the deal shopper tomorrow and immediate money savings, but getting 20% off golf goods that you choose is really nice. Keep in mind that most of the time you can use those cards for already discounted and sale items. Can’t normally do that with additional sale percentage deals and coupons.
